We recently moved to Clayton and tried Venero’s Pizzeria for the first time tonight. It was nothing short of amazing!! My husband and I both got pasta (the Tortellini Alfredo and pasta with their Creamy Pesto) and both loved our dishes! I also had a Pomegranate Martini which was great too. Josephina was our waitress and she was so friendly and helpful. And did I mention that the great food and service was on a night when they were packed? If the food and service is that good when they are so busy, that’s truly impressive! We will definitely be returning frequently.

Great place for family and friends... Fantastic food and great staff... Food is always consistent and plenty to take home ... Prices are moderate and be prepared for a wait after 5:45 pm... And on weekends and hollidays... They are always welcoming and happy to returning guests...

Dined here today for the first time in a couple of years. A lot of things remain the same. That's good and bad. The interior could use a refresh and a deep cleaning. Then pizza was good but not great. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. About the same as it has been for years.

Friendly staff but food was not good. I realize this place is always packed and expected to be blown away by this experience. Pasta was swimming in oil and not cooked completely. We ordered a mini pizza for an appetizer and got it after our main plate. The pizza was nothing to write about. I definitely could have done better at my house. Definitely disappointed.

Have seen many cars in its parking lot over the years, decided to give it a try. Baked Manicotti and a Lg Extreme were ordered. The pizza dough was thin and so much so that at its center the sauce had soaked in to dough thereby causing most ingredients to simply slide off the slice and on to the plate. IMO, onions on a pizza should be more like a garnish than equal to the amount of meat, this was my experience. I'm told the manicotti was good. Whether I'll be back is unknown. It is somewhat of a drive and quite a few places similar in cuisine exist. Not the home run I was expecting.
